As I progress with my project to create a booth that could be used as my ideal painting space, I am interested in getting feedback from a range of people – designers / artists, and crucially, anyone who has previously put together a piece of flat-packed furniture, as many have.
In this way I feel my piece can speak to multiple audiences, as I wish to enforce my view that anyone can paint, at least to the same calibre as myself. I want to highlight my own process and my focuses throughout the long preparations I undertake prior to beginning any painting.
I’m also interested in the ways other people feel they prepare themselves prior to undertaking their own creative process/es. With this, and our Live Brief to curate an exhibition (hypothetically – and therefore with freedom to present our work however we wish) in mind, I asked the other people in my group how thy prepare for their processes and what they feel they need with them to create. I am interested in potentially incorporating these elements into our curated exhibition.
